Making a sincere direct amends is my part in experiencing freedom and building bridges with those I hurt.
Step 8 gives me a chance to list those I have hurt and become willing or courageous to “love” them - whether they receive it or not. This step opens the door for me to see the pain I’ve caused others and set me free from making my pain master over my feelings and thoughts about myself.
Burst out of those hiding places, put on the forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and get back into the fight with passion and perseverance in His power.
As I grow in knowing the real Jesus, I detach from religion and attach to the God who speaks His love into my understanding!
