Bearing Jesus and the rest of the Trinity

Young Mary of Nazareth had a lot to ponder! Though a virgin, she would bear Jesus, “the Son of the Most High!” She marveled, “How can this be?” The angel Gabriel explained – the Holy Spirit would miraculously conceive “Emmanuel, God with us” inside her.

Despite the potential damage to her reputation, Mary was all-in on this plan. “Behold, I am the Lord’s bond-servant; may it be done to me according to your word.” Some translations read, “May what you say about me come true.” It did.

So God miraculously took on human form to live among us. But you know what is perhaps the greatest miracle of all? Now Jesus lives in those who believe in Him as their Savior (more on this here). In addition, God the Father also lives in us! Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our dwelling with him” (John 14:23). But wait, there’s more. According to 1 Corinthians 6:19, the Holy Spirit lives inside us too. “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you?”

So like Mary, let’s “treasure” and “ponder all these things in our hearts.” Think about it, we are bearing Jesus and the rest of the Trinity! Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all living inside. This has already come to pass! What power we have to fight cancer or any trial! Like Mary, let’s take God at His word and enjoy our up-close relationship with Him, er, Them!
